The F2502E-OCP-V3.0 is a dual-port 25G Ethernet OCP mezzanine card designed to the OCP 3.0 specification for servers whose motherboards provide an OCP 3.0 slot. Built on the Intel XXV710-AM2 controller, it gives OCP-style servers their primary network connection without consuming a general-purpose PCIe slot — the mezzanine slot exists precisely for this card. It supports hot-plugging, so a failed network card can be serviced without the ritual of a full chassis teardown where the platform allows it.
The host interface is PCI Express Gen 3.0 x8 at 8 GT/s, which comfortably feeds two 25G ports. Around the controller, the feature set is the full data-centre checklist: VXLAN and NVGRE tunnel offloads for overlay networks, VMDQ and SR-IOV for virtualisation, intelligent offloads, QoS controls, DCB/DCB-X data-centre bridging, 802.1q VLAN tagging and jumbo frames up to 9.5 KB. Rated power is just 8 W — a meaningful figure in dense OCP racks where every watt is budgeted twice, once for power and once for cooling.

Deployment notes
Mezzanine cards are platform-specific by nature: the slot, the bracket and the thermal envelope all belong to the server design. Before ordering, confirm your board provides an OCP 3.0 Type 3 slot and tell us the chassis model in your inquiry. This card exists only in OCP mezzanine form; if part of your fleet uses conventional PCIe servers, say so in the same inquiry and our team will match a 25G adapter from the wider server NIC range to those chassis, against the datasheet of that model.
Pair the card with GRT 25G SFP28 transceivers or AOC assemblies from the documented range, and ask about loaner evaluation units under our free testing service.
Will this card fit a normal PCIe slot?
No. It is an OCP 3.0 mezzanine card and needs a motherboard with an OCP 3.0 slot. For PCIe servers, ask us for the 25G PCIe models in the server NIC range.
Does it support SR-IOV?
Yes, SR-IOV and VMDQ are both supported, alongside VXLAN/NVGRE offload for virtualised overlay networks.
What optics does it take?
Standard 25G SFP28 transceivers or AOC/DAC assemblies. The GRT SFP28 module family is listed on the 25G SFP28 transceivers page.
Thermal and fleet notes
At 8 W rated power, the F2502E-OCP is an unusually cool 25G adapter — a figure that compounds across a fleet: hundreds of mezzanine cards at single-digit watts leave real thermal headroom in dense OCP racks compared with hungrier alternatives. When planning a fleet buy, also standardise the optic: the card’s SFP28 cages pair with the 25G SFP28 transceiver family, and a single stocked optic across the fleet simplifies spares, coding and troubleshooting. State the rack count and switch models in the inquiry so the quotation can cover cards, optics and a spares ratio together.
