Twenty-five gigabit Ethernet has become the standard server connection of this hardware generation: two and a half times the bandwidth of 10G per port, delivered through the same SFP28 cage and cabling plant. GRT serves the tier with dual-port 25G adapters and with a dedicated OCP mezzanine model for servers built around the OCP 3.0 slot.
The headline model is the F2502E-OCP-V3.0, a dual 25G SFP28 mezzanine card on the Intel XXV710-AM2 controller. For conventional PCIe slots, the wider server NIC range provides 25G adapters in the same controller families as our 10G and 100G tiers, so driver and management behaviour stays consistent across a mixed fleet.
10G or 25G?
If the switch fabric is already 25G-capable, the adapter premium over 10G is small and the headroom is real. If your top-of-rack is 10G SFP+, a 25G card buys nothing until the fabric moves. Our engineers will spec honestly against your fabric — describe it in the inquiry.
Are 25G cards backward compatible with 10G links?
SFP28 cages accept SFP+ optics mechanically, and many 25G adapters negotiate 10G. Confirm the specific model behaviour with our team for your switch and optic combination.
What is an OCP mezzanine card?
A card built to the Open Compute Project mezzanine specification that plugs into a dedicated slot on OCP-style server boards instead of a PCIe slot. The F2502E-OCP-V3.0 follows OCP 3.0, Type 3, and supports hot-plugging.
